We’re excited to launch Custom Fields, a powerful new feature that gives your business more control and flexibility over the information you store about your contacts in Leadferno.
With Custom Fields, you can now go beyond the basics—name, mobile number, and email—and tailor your contact records to capture the exact data that matters most to your business.
You’ll also notice we’ve updated the display and editing of our contact details with this addition as well as the conversation history with the contact.
Every business is unique, and the information you need to collect and manage about your customers varies by industry, service, and process. While core contact details are important, many of our users wanted the ability to store additional information to enhance customer service, improve team communication, and streamline workflows.
Custom Fields were built to meet that need—allowing you to personalize and enrich each customer record with the information and context that powers better conversations and faster results.
With this update, all contacts now include an Address field in the default fields—allowing you to store street address, city, state, and ZIP code on top of name, email, and phone number. This is especially valuable for service-based businesses, deliveries, or appointment logistics.
In addition, you can now create up to five custom fields, giving you complete control over the label and data you want to track. Here are a few examples of how businesses are already putting these fields to work:
Whether you’re managing repeat customers or organizing leads with more detail, these fields help keep everything in one place.
In the web app, go to the CONTACTS page and then select the gear icon in the upper right.

Now you are in the screen to add and manage your custom fields. Use the “Add field” button or you can drag and drop the field type from the right side elements options. We use the same field type options as the Leadform, and a bit later you will see how you can connect Leadform fields to Custom Fields!
You can add up to 5 custom fields.

Label your field (20 character limit) as this will appear in the contact details. You can then choose if you want this field and data to appear in the Contacts page table with the on/off toggle and if that data will be sortable in the table.
You can drag the field to edit the order they will appear in the contact details pane as well using the ::: icon.
Even better, we’ve made Custom Fields actionable by allowing you to map them directly to Leadform submissions. That means when a prospect or customer fills out your Leadform, their response can automatically populate one of your custom contact fields.
Note: You will need to have your custom fields created before you can map them.

For example, if your Leadform asks for a “Date of Birth,” that value can be saved directly to a “Birth Date” Custom Field on their contact record—saving time and keeping everything connected.
Here’s how some businesses might use Custom Fields:
